Dr. Dan J. Brothers

Dr. Dan Brothers graduated from Southern College of Optometry, Memphis TN in 1979. This followed his undergraduate studies at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, MO. He received his certificaton in diagnostic/therapuetic pharmacuetical agents and later became certified in treatment and management of glaucoma patients from the University of Missouri School of Optometry in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Dan enjoys all aspects of primary optometric care particularly contact lenses, treatment of eye diseases and disorders, and co-manages pre and post operative care of patients interested in LASIK refractive surgery and cataract surgery. Dr Dan has served as a trustee with the Missouri Optometric Association, president of the SW MO Optometric Society, past president of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society, member of the American Optometric Association and the MO Optometric Foundation and a graduate of the Management Business Academy. He was a member of the Omega Delta Fraternity Chapter in Memphis while attendng Optometry school. He has served as president of the Joplin Kiwanis Club, past president of the Joplin Boys and Girls Club, and past board member of the Joplin Family Y, past alumni of Leadership Joplin, and past board member of the St. Mary's parish council. He maintains membership with the Joplin Elks Club, Joplin Knights of Columbus and serves as Eucharist minister in his church. He tries to find time to fish, golf and bowl. Currently, he and his wife Teresa, keep in touch with their 4 daughters, and 1 granddaughter.

Dr. Larry J. Brothers

Dr. Larry Brothers graduated from University of Missouri School of Optometry, St Louis, MO in 1984. This followed his undergraduate training at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, MO where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He received his certification in diagnostic/therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and later became certified in treatment and management of glaucoma patients from the University of Missouri College of Optometry in St. Louis. Dr. Larry practices all aspects of primary optometric care, including contact lenses, treatment of eye diseases, pathologies, infections, and disorders, and co-manages pre and post operative care of patients choosing refractive LASIK surgery and cataract surgery with area ophthalmologists. Dr. Larry is currently a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, SW MO Optometric Society, member of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society, American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Foundation. He maintains active membership with the Joplin Chamber of Commerce and Joplin Rotary Club. Dr. Larry Brothers was born and raised in Joplin, attended Joplin schools, and is currently an active member with the Second Assembly of God. He likes to spend his free time with his wife Rosie, and their son, Dalton, who attends MSSU in Joplin.

Dr. Dennis W. Bezold

Dr. Dennis Bezold graduated from University of Missouri School of Optometry, St Louis, MO in 1986. This followed his undergraduate training at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in July 1976. He received his certification in diagnostic/therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and later became certified in treatment and management of glaucoma patients from the University of Missouri College of Optometry in St. Louis. Dr. Dennis Bezold has been associated with the group practice since 1986. Dr. Dennis Bezold is currently a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, past president of the Southwest Missouri Optometric Society, member of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society, American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Foundation. Dr. Bezold served 4 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and graduated from the U.S. Army Engineering school in 1977. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal in 1980. Dr. Bezold is a member of the Joplin Host Lions Club, and a member of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Dennis Bezold was raised in the German community of Hermann, MO in central Missouri, and is currently an active member with the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin. He keeps occupied with his 4 childrens collegiate activities. Dr. Bezold also tries to find time to boat the area lakes, enjoys golf and plays softball.

Dr. Melissa Y. Brown

Dr. Melissa Brown graduated from the University of Missouri School of Optometry in St. Louis, MO in 2000. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND and received her bachelors of Science degree in 1995. She received her certification in the treatment and management of ocular disease in December 1999. This allows her to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and to prescribe medications for diseases that are related to the eye. Dr. Brown has been associated with the group since January 2003. Dr. Melissa Brown is currently a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, secretary/treasurer of the Southwest Missouri Optometric Society, Heart of America Contact Lens Society, and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Brown is a member of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce and is a past alumnus of the Leadership Joplin class of 2004. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa chapter International Optometric Society in April 2000. Dr. Brown was born in the community of Valley City, ND, 60 miles west of Fargo, ND. She attends the First Baptist Church of Webb City. Her spouse, Dr. Lance Brown, is also an optometrist who went back for further medical education and now practices ophthalmology at Regional Eye Center in Joplin. Any free time is quality time devoted to their 3 young children.

Dr. Eldon R. Repsher

Dr. Eldon Repsher graduated from the University of Missouri School of Optometry, St. Louis, MO in 2000. He received his certification in the treatment and management of ocular disease in December 1999. Dr. Repsher received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Molecular Biology from Southwest Missouri State University in 1996. He practices all aspects of primary optometric care, including contact lenses, treatment of eye diseases and infections, and co-manages pre and post operative care for LASIK and cataract surgery. Dr. Eldon Repsher is a current member of the Missouri Optometric Association, past secretary of the Southwest Missouri Optometric Society, and member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Repsher is a member of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce and the Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Repsher served six years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, stationed at Naval Hospital San Diego and aboard the destroyer USS Caron (DD970). Dr. Repsher was a member of Surgical Team 1, based out of San Diego and spent 8 months in the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm/Shield. Dr. Repsher grew up in Washington State and has lived in southwest Missouri for the past 22 years. Dr. Repsher is very active with the Carl Junction schools where three children attend. Dr. Repsher spends most of his time doing family activities and scuba diving.
